Soprano Nell Snaidas, a specialist in early Italian music, zarzuela, and Sephardic song, offers a musical tour of the Mediterranean countries. Ms. Snaidas began her career singing the lead roles in zarzuelas with Repertorio Español in New York, sang opera of Alessandro Scarlatti at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, has toured all over Europe and Latin America with her specialty of Italian and Spanish Baroque, and also starred internationally as “Christine” in Phantom of the Opera, as well as singing solo in the Broadway cast album of Hair

Our favorite Baroque flutist Tamara Meredith plays a concert of music from favorite wine venues across Europe, to be accompanied by a sampling of these vintages. As the recorder gave way to the transverse, or German, flute as the eighteenth century got underway, the flauto traverso became the most popular instrument for house music among the aristocracy of Europe. The delightful Ms. Meredith plays a bouquet of pieces to be enjoyed along with the bouquet of a fine wine
